I am a Memphis, Tennessee native and I have loved saltwater fishing my entire life. I grew up having loving parents and a grandfather who taught me how to catch a fish. As a child, I have fond memories of going deep sea fishing every year with Captain Royal in Panama City, Florida. Deep sea fishing changed my life. I love to share my knowledge with first time and experienced anglers.
I am married to Allison. We were high school sweethearts and have been married for over 12 years. We have two children named Shelton (5) and Reece (3). Shelton is already showing signs of loving the outdoors and likes helping dad clean fish.
I fished the BASS pro circuit for three years while trying to work full time in our family’s steel manufacturing business in Tennessee. I met Captain Troy in 2002 when my family chartered his boat for a family fishing vacation. He and I hit it off and I would always come find Troy when we were in town.
