The 2011 summer vacation fishing season has been producing some really good fish. The king mackerel have been biting better offshore, but some of the four hour fishing trips are producing Spanish Mackerel too! The kids that have been fishing this last week of July are in no hurry to get back to school in August. They love spending time with their family on the Alabama Gulf Coast. Gulf Shores and Orange Beach have been swamped by people who have never been to our area this year. The BP oil spill may have ruined our economy in 2010, but the 2011 season is on pace to set record numbers. People all across the nation, now know where we are and it's our job to give them the best fishing charters on the entire Gulf of Mexico.
We have been catching and releasing Red Snapper mostly because they are the most dominant fish within 30 miles of the Orange Beach and Gulf Shores shoreline. The Alabama artificial reef system is producing some world class fishing for Red Snapper, Amberjack and King Mackerel.
