The Vermilion Snapper bite was really incredible today just south of Gulf Shores. We headed south from Orange Beach and left the Gulf Shores coast line behind us on the horizon. We rode for about 2 hours before we stopped. We wanted to get far enough offshore to get away from what was the area that the Spring Break fishing crowd and other charter boats have been fishing non stop since March 2011. We caught Vermilion Snappers that were Magnum Sized and some really big Trigger Fish. Today was an awesome day fishing in Orange Beach, Alabama.
The weather was great and the sea conditions were remarkable. Deep sea fishing in Gulf Shores is incredibly good this year because last year, there was hardly any fishing pressure because of the BP oil Spill. 2011 is proving to be a great year so far and people are booking charters way in advance this year because they are hungry for some Gulf Seafood that is fresh and safe.
