Jim Hogan, Atty from Marietta, Ga has been a long time friend and guest. Seven years of bringing his sons deep sea fishing has been an annual treat for us. Lem and I get a real pleasure of watching these young men get with it and catch some fish.
Today was no different than any year before except Michael and Matthew are another year older and they take their fishing seriously. These young men are the youngest of Jim's boys. We have had a blast watching Michael and Matthew grow up.
Chris and Connor are a bit older than their smaller brothers but are equally good fishermen. Stephen missed this years trip because he is on a church mission trip in Appalachia this week. Connor and Chris were sure to take up the slack.
We caught 8 Amberjack and because of the new regulations of being 30 inch minimum, fell short about 1/2 to 1 inch. We still had a blast watching them fight these nice fish. We simply released them.
Jim caught a couple of nice Scamp Grouper today. They were the cart toppers until Chris pulled up a whopper Red Snapper. We caught a few Triggerfish and some Vermilion Snapper that sure added to the cart.
