2010 began with a bang. Business was up over 30 percent and it was looking like the year was going to be a barn burner of fishing season. That was until the Deep Water Horizon incident occurred. The Federal Red Snapper season was open only two days in Alabama before the National Marine Fisheries Service shut it down on June 2. The Gulf Council decided to open Red Snapper Season during the Fall in an effort to restore the economy and catch the fish that we were allocated this year. The success of the season is mixed.
