Summer Vacation Fishing Charters in Gulf Shores catching Cobia, Red Snapper and Mackerel

The warm waters from the gulfstream, combined with a southeast wind for the past few days has pushed the murky waters from Mobile Bay back to the west for now. We have had a lot of rain in the central states that has flowed down the rivers into the Gulf of Mexico.  Fishing was tough earlier this week, but now the green waters have pushed in to the beaches of Orange Beach and Gulf Shores, making trolling and bottom fishing good.

We headed offshore this morning to go out and catch some Red Snapper, Triggerfish, Vermilion Snapper, Spanish Mackerel and hopefully a shark. Yesterday, we had murky waters and the sharks ate us up. So today, we tried to catch a shark and I guess the clear water were too much for sharking. We had a blast fishing for Spanish on the way offshore. When we got out to the fishing reefs south of Gulf Shores, the sea conditions were ideal for bottom fishing. We caught plenty of Red Snappers but had to let them go.

This weekend was special because of the Hangout Music Festival that is going on in Gulf Shores.  There are going to be some great artists in town playing. We are expecting a record croud this weekend in Gulf Shores. For those of you who want to avoid the traffic, need to come to Orange Beach and go fishing.
