Thanksgiving Bull Redfish Fishing Charter in Gulf Shores, Alabama with Captain Troy

Spending Thanksgiving on the Alabama Gulf Coast is a wonderful opportunity for families to come together and enjoy some quality time.   I am just thankful for the the Redfish that showed up last week and hopefully should be here all the way through March.  To no surprise, Bull Redfish always show up at the right time.  All of our guest who are in town for the much needed holiday, really enjoy wetting a hook on a 4 hour trolling and sightfishing charter.

Today was pretty amazing.  The Gulf of Mexico, just south of Gulf Shores and Orange Beach was seamingly calm.  We have a high pressure system that is passing through Memphis today that is causing some high temperatures to be close to 80 degrees.   The low pressure we are under in Gulf Shores, makes the fish bite like crazy.  It is like the Redfish know that the barometric pressure is about to climb and the fish begin to feed.

We must have seen one million baitfish balled up right off the beach today.  Everywhere we looked, there was LY's and the Brown Pelicans were sure enjoying the feast.  All I knew was that "Where there is bait, there is fish."   It did not take long to end up down to the West of Orange Beach where I saw some of my buddies fishing.  They were being quiet and did not want everyone to know that the Bull Redfish were biting.   When I got close, I got a phone call from a friend asking if I had them located.   I told him yes and just about that time, the rods began screaming and I hung up the phone to get ready to watch my anglers enjoy some good ole Bull Redfish Action.

After a while, we had caught 5 Bull Reds and only kept three of them.  They told me that they were going to smoke some Redfish today and had never had Bull Reds before.

We ended the day and all went home to get ready to enjoy a nice Thanksgiving meal together.  I had to stop by the grocery store on the way home to get some last minute goodies.   I love having the kids home and enjoying time with them.  I really identify with those who come to the Gulf Shores and Orange Beach area to enjoy their Thanksgiving.  One thing for sure, Thanksgiving is the beginning of a wonderful Bull Redfish Fishing Charter season for us.   We look forward to seeing you soon.
