We never liked it. It was immature and wrong to constantly try and kill every fish you could, because you had the ability to do so.
Over the years, Distraction Charters recognized a change in the mentality of the people who are participating in saltwater fishing. One reason we used to try to harvest a lot of fish was because of a generational difference. Our parents and grandparents generation always talk about the depression or tough times when growing up. I grew up in a home where my parents owned a deep freezer and tried to keep it full at all times. Today, hardly any of our customers own a deep freezer. Because of improvements in freezing and preserving food, consumers can now have access to everything that we used to have to work hard to put up in the freezer.
